Okay so I have not updated my blog in like 3 months...so sorry. I wish I could say I was WAY busy during those three months, but I can't. I am just lazy. Anyway I will try to catch up. Lets start with the soccer stuff. This is K's second year playing soccer. Let me tell you what a difference a year makes! Last year she would just run behind all the other girls, or she would just stand around talking. This year, she is quite a good little player. She has made a handful of goals, and she is good at stealing the ball from the other team. I am so proud of her! Oh yeah, Eric is her coach, so he probably thinks it is all is doing ;) He is having fun, and P and I love going to cheer on the Pink Watermelon's! Soccer is over for the fall, but will start again in the spring....we can't wait!

Open wide......
Okay I admit...I have been a major slacker when it come to this blogging stuff. I will try to do better about writing posts. I really just don't feel like I have a ton to say.
Okay so last week K had to get her tonsils and adenoids removed at Primary Children's Hospital. Why you ask?? Well let me tell you that she would snore SO loud. Eric and I could hear while we watched TV, after she went to bed. And I have had some people (my Mother) tell me that she did not speak very clear (which is totally true...I guess Mom's ARE always right). Anyway she did so good on the day of the surgery. Eric and I did not tell her what was going to happen. We just told her that we needed to take her to the doctor, and he was going to look in her mouth. BUT he was going to give her some medicine to make her fall asleep so he could get a good look.
We did tell her that her throat was going to hurt when she woke up, but that would be okay because then she could eat lots of ice cream, jello, and soup. So she really was not nervous at all.
She did really well. The surgery took about a half hour. It was hard when I got to go back and see her and she was still kinda out of it, and in pain. The nurses were so nice. They just let her sleep for about a hour, and then she needed to drink something before we could go home.
She did well on the way home, and slept the whole time. We are so very lucky that my Mom was willing to come to our house and watch P. She even made us dinner...because we got home kinda late. Thanks for all your help Mom!
It has been about 10 days, and K is doing great! She even did well with all our activities over the 4th of July weekend (we will talk about that another time). All last week she would take a nap, but that is gone now...back to normal kinda sucks ;) No really, I am glad she is doing so good. I can even tell a difference in her speech (thanks Mom ).

Happy Father's Day!
But really...I should say something to my own father......Dad I love you. You are such a wonderful person. Thank you for all the help that you have given to me and my family throughout the years....what would we do without you??? You are such a great grandpa (notice K and P faces in the picture). My kids love you so much. But don't forget about me.....I have put in more time! I LOVE YOU DADDY! Happy Father's Day.

Dinosaur Park
Last week (on Eric's birthday...the 3rd) was the ward play group at the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. My kids had the best time. The weather was great. It did start to sprinkle on us while we were eating lunch, but the temperature was perfect. K liked it so much, she now says she does not want a birthday party with her friends, she wants to go back to the park with just her family. I was very surprised. They have this room that you go into that has robots that look real (refer to picture). Of course that was a love/hate attraction. They wanted to go and see the robots....but would not go very far into the dark room. The second time we went back, P freaked out. It was kinda funny. Anyway we had a great time!

Preschool Graduation!

This is a picture of K, in September of 2006, on her first day of preschool.

I can't believe how little she looks, and P too! Well K is on to bigger and better things. At the end of May she "graduated" from Rainbow Preschool. She loved going there for two years, and says she is going to miss all her teachers. It really was such a good school. Eric and I were very pleased. It was close enough that we could walk (weather permitting), and she had a neighbor friend go there so they became fast friends.

Anyway, at graduation, the kids put on a little program for the parents. They said The Pledge of Allegiance (which honestly brought me to tears), sang songs (one song they sang and did the sign language for),and danced. They were given a book that they had been working on all year. It is neat to see how much better K is at writing her name now than in the beginning. She was also given a "Kindergarten readiness test" in it her teacher said: "K knew all of her letters and most of her sounds. Vowels are hard to get and will come. She is ready!" That also brought me to tears (and it still does now when I reread it).

I love you little girl!! You bring such joy to my life, and I am so very proud of you. Bring on Kindergarten....you are ready!
This last picture is of K on graduation day.....she has grown SOOOO fast.

This is amazing...
Okay so first you must know that I don't do well with stuff like this. Things related to (any) war, soldiers, things of that nature, have a special place in my heart. I have (thank heavens) not lost any close family members in a war, but with my little brother in the Air Force, I was made more aware of what these wonderful men, women and their families go through for us.
I think this idea is a wonderful tribute to those that have lost there lives for this cause, and I wish that when they came through Utah, I could run with them. I am going to try and do a short run on August 24th (it's a Sunday...the day they plan to finish), in honor of these fallen soldiers. I just wanted to say Thank You. Thank You to my brother Greg, and Thank You to all the men and women who serve this country so my family and I can be FREE!!!! Please check out runforthefallen.org just to see how they are going to do this....it sounds so neat!

Wednesday Wedding

Okay so this past Wednesday (the 21st) Eric's brother Taylor got married. It was such a fun day! I did feel bad for them because the weather was not so good....but they did not seem to mind. They had that "in the stars" look all day. It was so cute. I love going to sealings in the temple, because it reminds me of not so long ago ( 8 YEARS!!!) when Eric and I were sealed in the temple. What a great reminder it is of the promises you make when you get married.I really wanted K to be outside of the temple when they came out. I know that she would have LOVED to see Ashley in her wedding dress, walking around outside of the Temple, getting to be a princess for a day. I also wanted her to see how happy Ashley and Taylor were, and hopefully implant some interest in getting married in the temple. Well K and P woke up at like 6:15 the day of the wedding, and by the time we got to the temple she was about falling asleep. With the tiredness factor and the weather, I decided to just had my Mom take her to her house, and she could have fun at the reception. I don't think K was to sad...she was happy to be going to Grammy's house.
The reception was at a club house on South Mountain. The view was amazing! And guess what...K was as excited as I thought she was going to be. She followed Ashley and Taylor while they got pictures taken, loving every minute. Then at 8 when the dancing started she was in heaven. I am not joking when I tell you that she danced the rest of the night. It was neat that even though it was Ashley's reception, she took time out and danced with K. I think that made K feel very special. It was a great day. We are so happy for Taylor and Ashley....and we got some cute pictures to remember what fun we had.
